Postage and delivery

£4.80 a box anywhere in the UK, up to six jars a box. Orders taken before noon go out the same working day. Cut comb goes Monday to Wednesday only, so it is not sitting in a depot over a weekend.

Collection from the honey house is free. The shop is open Thursday to Saturday, 9 to 4; ring first in extraction season because we may be in the extracting room and not the shop.

Breakages

Glass in the post breaks sometimes. Tell us within seven days and we replace the jar and the postage, and we do not ask for the pieces back.

Returns

Unopened jars can go back within fourteen days for a refund of the honey, not the postage. We cannot take back an opened jar of food.

Granulation is not a fault

Nearly all raw honey sets. Rape sets in weeks, heather takes months, honeydew may not set at all. Stand the jar in water at hand temperature for an hour if you want it runny again; do not put it above 40 °C or in a microwave, which takes the smell out of it.

Labelling

Every jar carries the apiary, the year, the lot, the net weight and the best-before date, and the words raw and unfiltered mean what they say: coarse-strained only, and never warmed past 40 °C. Honey is not suitable for infants under twelve months.

Your details

We keep your name, address and order so we can send the honey and answer a query about it. We do not sell it, and we do not send anything you did not ask for. Ask and it is deleted.
