What we need from you

  • Vehicle access to the drop point, and a gate we can get a trailer through.
  • Somewhere out of the prevailing wind, facing between south and east if there is a choice.
  • Notice of any spray, and the product name — most are fine at dusk, some are not fine at all.
  • A date for the end of the flow. Colonies left on a finished crop go backwards.

Dates fill from January for the top-fruit window. Ring rather than write if you are close to the season.

What a contract does not cover

We do not guarantee a yield, and no beekeeper who tells you otherwise is being straight with you. Set depends on weather, on what else is flowering within range, and on the crop itself. What is guaranteed is the number of colonies, their strength on arrival, the weekly inspection, and that they are removed when you ask.

Honey made on your crop belongs to us and is jarred under the apiary it came from. If you would rather have it, say so before the hives go out and we will price the contract differently.
